Where to Stay at Disneyland

When it comes to accommodations near Disneyland and California Adventure parks, there are a LOT of different options. Luckily for you, we’ve stayed at many of them, so I’ve got some experience picking just the right spot. This post is all about one of my favorite places to stay when I go to Disneyland, the Anabella! My family and I have stayed here a few times and have never been disappointed. It is within walking distance of the parks and the accommodations are fantastic. The deluxe rooms (a few $ more than a standard room) are excellent for families and include a small second room with a daybed. The fact that you can put resting (or cray-cray) children in their own space is… well, I can’t even describe it in words. Just, yes. And after a long day walking around the happiest place on earth, what is better than taking it easy with some fro-yo from their shop and a nice dip in the pool? Looking for a little piece and quiet? Relax at the adults-only pool while the bar staff to bring a never-ending supply of ice cold coke (or beverage of your choice). When planning your next Disneyland vacay, definitely consider booking this hotel.

Here are some ways to book:

  • You can save by booking directly through the hotel website. If you are an annual Disneyland passholder, you lucky duck, you get 15% off the nightly rate. There are also discounts for service men and women and other specials throughout the year (like 4th night free and $60 Wednesdays). They’ve also partnered with D23 (Official Disney Fan Club) to offer Gold Members 20% off their stay good through Dec. 31, 2017, https://d23.com/discounts-and-offers/. Contact the hotel directly and ask about their specials.
  • The Anabella also partners with getawaytoday.com. If you choose to book your Disneyland vacation package through them. Don’t forget to use the promo code “Hustle10” to get an extra $10 off any 2-night or longer Southern California package (That’s like a free hand-dipped corndog!).
  • Allegiant also offers packaged deals with The Anabella when booking the same time you book your flights. They sell out quick, so make sure to plan ahead!

Now for cute photos!

We are working on Rhett’s “smile for the camera” face. This was like the 12th take 😉

As you can see, the grounds are beautiful!

The rooms are fantastic! There are TVs in both rooms, a good sized bathroom and “get ready” space. The linens and towels were nice quality. The room was very clean.

The on-site restaurant, called the Tangerine, was yum. They had a good variety and are reasonably priced. Rhett and I both went for the lunch special, which was a half salad and sandwich. The grilled cheese was on point and Rhett really enjoyed the Blackened Chicken.

They have indoor and outdoor seating. Both are nice!

There is an “adults only” pool area AND a family pool area. Both are beautiful. This is the adult area.

This is the family pool. The property has tons of places to sit and chill or eat or hang out with family. The grounds are extensive. We took these photos on a weekday during the day, when most are out at the park. In the evenings, this is a pretty happening place, and for good reason.

Again, we’re working on Rhett’s smile. He’s getting better though, right?

Above is the walk to Disneyland. It is definitely walk-able and it’s a beautiful walk, however, the person(s) in charge of making the sidewalk didn’t do a very good job keeping it straight (you can’t tell from this photo, but there are some awesome s-curves up ahead). If you’d rather, the ART shuttle picks up right outside! The hotel even has a digital kiosk for purchasing your shuttle tickets. Check out ART shuttle prices here.

Well, there you have it. The Anabella is a great spot for your next vacation. Sadly, this gorgeous hotel might not be here for too much longer. Rumor has it that plans have been submitted for a brand new luxury resort in this spot. So, hurry and book the Anabella before it’s too late!
