How to Have a Blast with Baby at Disneyland
If you are a parent, then you probably already know that doing anything with a baby is harder. That’s just how it works. But, that doesn’t have to mean that you don’t have an awesome time! We recently took our baby to Disneyland, had a blast and learned some things that we’d like to share.
Disneyland Baby Care Center
First of all, if you didn’t know this already, there’s a mother’s lounge in both Disneyland and California Adventure. Since I’m new to the mom world, I had no idea about this and had never been there. Needless to say, I checked it out first thing when I got to the park.
The sign reads “Baby Care Center” and within, you can find a nursing room with soft rockers (you can pump in there also), a room full of clean changing tables, a feeding area with high chairs, a kitchen area with a microwave and sink, cold water and cups, and a waiting area where the rest of your party can chill and wait (if they want to). When you get there, a cast member will ask how they can help you. You can also buy baby supplies like formula, baby food, juice, diapers, wipes, sunscreen, over-the-counter medications, binkies, etc. So, if you get to the park and realized you’ve forgotten a necessary baby item, they probably have it!
If you are at Disneyland, you can find the Baby Care Center at the end of Main Street (turn right at the Little Red Wagon corndog truck) next to the First Aid stop. At California Adventure, you can find the Baby Care Center next to Ghirardelli’s. Don’t forget to grab a free chocolate sample (Ghirardelli’s) and sourdough bread sample (Pacific Wharf) on your way to help with ‘the hangries.’ Trust me when I say this place is a mama’s favorite hangout at the park. It’s cool, it’s welcoming, and it’s just what you need.
What Rides Can Baby Ride?
So, now that you’ve got baby’s basic needs handled, next up: what rides can I go on with baby?! Well, the answer is simple. Any ride that doesn’t have a height restriction. I’ve put together a nice list for you below.

Between you and me, that’s plenty of attractions to keep everyone happy (if not, just head to the churro stand, haha)!
We’ve talked about this before, but don’t forget that Disneyland also offers the “rider switch” option for rides that are too much for baby. This is where some of your party waits in attraction line and the rest of the party waits with baby. After the first group rides they bring back a rider switch pass for the rest of the group to skip the line (basically like a fastpass!).
Well, I hope this helps you feel good about taking baby to Disneyland! A few items that you shouldn’t forget include a hat, a cute Disney outfit (of course), loads of sunblock, a swaddle for those times you are inside and there’s a lot of air conditioning, a carrier or stroller, and LOTS of hand sanitizer and sanitizing wipes (let’s do our best to keep baby from getting sick, yeah?). If you haven’t read this post, here are a few other things I always like to bring. Also, check the weather! We went at a time of year where the temps are usually around 70’s, but it ended up being in the upper 90’s when we were there. Talk about melty. Yeesh.
