2025 Cool Dad Holiday Gift Guide

As 2025 comes to a close. I’ve taken some time and looked back on what I, a husband and father of two boys, feel would make the perfect “cool dad” holiday gifts. Everyone does have different tastes, hobbies, and wants but there’s sure to be something on this list for any dad.

Also,  don’t forget to check out my lists from prior years. There are many wonderful ideas there though some may be dated or have newer versions. Some are just as “cool” this year as in years past but I have a “guideline” to try and not list items twice.

Check out my other gift guides here: “Cool Dad” Holiday Gift Guides

Like past years, I always start my lists off by saying these are things I own and have tested or wish to own myself. Though I try to make sure they contain some amazing ideas, I’m sure to miss out on some pretty cool stuff. If there’s anything you feel I forgot or should have been added, comment below.

Now, on to the list.

For The Dad Who Likes To Travel

ECOFLOW Rapid Pro Power Bank – EcoFlow recently released a new line of powerbanks. I know, I know. How are power banks cool? Well, this one is a power packed, power bank. It’s large but you can still fly with it. With the multiple ports, dad can keep his device topped off as well as the kids electronics. I also feel it’s great for cruising as it can easily be thrown in a bag or backpack for all day juice. It’s built in USB -C cable means you don’t need to worry about loose cables and the 140 watt output means it will even power MacBook Pros. https://amzn.to/4nXHh6x.

It’s “retiring soon” and once retired from the Lego Store, it will only be available from 3rd party sellers and used markets. It’s a bit expensive but the price is only going to go up from here. For The Organized Dad

Yosemite Modular Shelving – Launching on Kickstarter late 2023 and being delivered to backers and opening their online web-store late 2024, I can now add these awesome shelving components to my “Cool Dad” gift guide. Why get these rather than just nailing or screwing the wood together? First, they just look cool. Also, the way they connect, It allows for easier adjustment of the different shelves as well as reconfiguration if your needs ever change. I was an early supporter on Kickstarter and can say that they’re solid, built to last, and improve any garage storage space. If your “Cool Dad” likes an organized garage, go this route. You can order yours from their website, https://bit.ly/yosemiteshelving.

For the “Do-it-yourselfer” Dad

FLIR Compact Thermal Imaging Camera – As a home owner, there are so many reasons for a thermal camera. Have an outlet not working, a drafty room, soft walls? A thermal camera can be used to check for electrical shorts, cold air entering the house through bad window or door seals, as well as wet spots on roofs and walls that may be the result of water. It’s something every home owner should own. The C3-X is a mid tier model and FLIR does offer more affordable options. They’re available here on Amazon, https://amzn.to/4pLbojj as well as though the manufacture’s site.

Klein Tools Self-Leveling Laser Level – Do you need something level? I recommend the Klein 93CPLG. It’s a compact self-leveling cross line 360-Degree laser level. There’s lots on the market but Klein has a long reputation of reliability. Also, this model is equipped with a rechargeable and includes a magnetic mount for securing to… metal stuff. As a home owner, I often need to hang photos, make sure install adhesive wallpaper, install shelving… all of which are made easier because of this laser level. For The “I Like to Read” Dad

Targeted: Beirut by Jack Carr – I’m a huge fan of Jack Carr’s Terminal List series and the world he’s build. This book is a little different as it’s not a work of fiction. This captures the history of the. The 1983 Marine Barracks Bombing and the Untold Origin Story of the War on Terror. So, if your “Cool Dad” likes books, history, or books of history, he’ll like this. Check it out on Amazon here: https://amzn.to/3KOxHVc.
